The United Republic of Tanzania is a country interesting and beautiful, situated in East Africa. Formerly known as the United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, Tanzania is famous for its geographical diversity. Enamoring landscape is blessed with large tracts of dense forest, magnificent mountain peaks, and rare species of flora and fauna.

1. Spread over an area of 945,000 kilometers square, Tanzania has a population of 29 million.
2. Tanzania is bordered by Kenya, Northern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Democratic Republic of the Congo in the west, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique in the south and the Indian Ocean to the east.
3. Tanzania became independent from British colonial rule, on December 9, 1961.
4. The country is divided into 26 regions and ninety-eight districts.
5. It is an ethnically diverse, with more than 120 ethnic groups. Important among these are Sukuma, Nyamezi, hehe, Benas, The Hague and Gogo. Islam and Christianity are two religions. Main languages are Kiswahili and English.
6. The country's economy is based mainly on agriculture. Tanzania is a major exporter of commodities such as coffee, cotton, tea, sisal, cashew nuts, snuff, weed, flowers and fish products. It has a wealth of natural resources including gold deposits and diamonds.
7. Tourism activities include a hike to the summit of the hill. Kilimanjaro and Safari in some of the largest wildlife parks in Africa. Tanzania great national parks, including the famous Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, sealed Game Reserve, Mikumi National Park and Gombe National Park.
8. It is home to some of the largest and deepest lakes in Africa. These include Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika. Mount Kilimanjaro, present in the Northeast, the highest peak in Africa.

Here are some examples of different crafts and cheap education that you can do with your child:
Mancala is a traditional African game, which promotes critical thinking and improving math skills. The board and game pieces can be easily created with these tools:

Just cut the top of the egg carton, the lid upside down and glue them for the other half. This creates a basis and a board game.
